History

The company was founded in 1992 in the former Obane district of Shimizu City. Twenty years later, the head office was moved to Shizuoka-shi.
In 2005, the company set up a line of aluminum extruded products at the Fukushima plant and started integrated operations for production and marketing.
The company has seen rapid overseas growth since it expanded its business to Thailand, and it now centralizes its operations for globalization there.
The company aims to build up the SUS brand that is recognized globally.

1992	6 IA System Corporation was established by the founder, Yasuo Ishida. Development, production, and sales of system products for domestic and Southeast Asian markets began.
1995	3SUS Corporation was established. Direct catalog sales of standard unit products began.	3 Tokyo Office (in Nihonbashi-Kayabacho, Chuo-ku) was established.
1997	12 A subsidiary, SUSS, was established in Singapore. Sale of system products began.
2001	3 IA System Corporation merged with the SUS Corporation. 5 A subsidiary, SUS BKK Co., Ltd. was established in Thailand. Began sales of system products. 5 A subsidiary, SUS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established in Thailand. In-house production of accessory parts, such as nuts and brackets, began.
2002	10 ecoms Business established. Began the development and production of aluminum furniture and construction materials.
2003		4 Osaka Sales Branch (presently known as Osaka Satellite) established.
2004	9 SUS (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. established in China as a subsidiary of SUSS. 12 Renamed as SUS Corporation.	6 Kyushu Plant established.
2005		3Nagano Sales Branch (presently known as Nagano Satellite) established. 5 Fukushima Plant established. SUS began in-house production of aluminum profiles with extrusion and alumite processing production facilities.
2006		9 Nagoya Sales Branch (presently known as Okazaki Satellite) established.
2007	10 SUS Holdings Co., Ltd. was established to integrate all subsidiary companies in Thailand.
2008	8 SUSC Co., Ltd. established for construction contracting. (Since Construction Industry Permission was granted to SUS in July 2014, the company has been integrated into SUS.)	3 Shiga Plant established.
2009	6 SUS (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. started aluminum extrusion production.
2011	8 A subsidiary, SUS (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. established in Vietnam.	5 Head Office relocated to the sixth floor of S-Patio Bldg. near JR Shizuoka station South Exit. 7Sendai Sales Branch established. 8 Shizuoka Office was established in Kikugawa City. Though the Obane office maintained some functionality, most operations moved to the Shizuoka office.
2013	12 A subsidiary, SUS Philippines Corporation, established in Philippines. 12 SUS (India) Pvt. Ltd. was established in India as a subsidiary of SUSS.
2014	1 A subsidiary, SUS America, Inc. established in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. 1 Two-year long large facility investment in Fukushima Plant completed. More aluminum extrusion production machinery was bought and made operational. 7 SUS BKK completed a new plant. The Pinthong Plant and Sales Branches were established.	6 Hiroshima Satellite established. 8 Shizuoka 2nd Plant was established in Kikugawa City. Machining facilities were relocated from the Obane office to the new location. 9 Atsugi Satellite established.
2015	3 SUS (India) R&D department established.	4 Fukushima Satellite established. 5 Saitama Satellite established. 10 Shiga Satellite established.
2016		5 Chiba Plant established in Kisarazu City. 7Okazaki Satellite established.
2017	8 A subsidiary, SUS Myanmar, established in Myanmar.	5Tochigi Satellite established.
2018		1Kanazawa Satellite established. Nagoya Sales Branch in Nagoya City established. 6Kumamoto Plant established in Kikuchi District, Kumamoto Prefecture.
2019		7Hokkaido Satellite established.
2020		5Shimizu Satellite established.
2022	6 SUS 30th Anniversary.	6 Morioka Satellite established. 12 Himeji Sales Branch established.
2023		2 New manufacturing unit at Shiga Plant becomes fully operational.
2024	12 Representative Director and President Yasuo Ishida resigned and became Honorary Chairman. Takushi Ishida was appointed as the new President.
2025		5Kakegawa Plant established in Kakegawa City.
