As the revised building standards law (Japan) allows the use of aluminum as a structural material, SUS applied the knowledge and technologies cultivated in its FA business to architecture field, and started the new home automation (HA) business in 2002.
"ecoms" is the brand name for SUS HA business represented by building materials including aluminum architecture, parts-materials and furniture. It stands for "ecology & economy modular system" meaning the combined use of standardized parts and materials offering ecological and economical benefits.
